Wood-fired pizza in the heart of Old Bisbee
A 100% scratch kitchen with everything prepped fresh every morning. We make hand-tossed pies in a wood-fired oven, house cocktails and a tequila made just for us, all served from a converted gas station on Tombstone Canyon.
Fire, dough & a good time
Three reasons people make the drive to Bisbee and plan their trip around dinner with us.

Wood-fired pies
Every pizza bakes on the oven floor beside a live fire, so the crust comes out crisp, chewy and blistered. Then there's the pasta, wings and our Thai Me Up pie.

Our own tequila
Maestro Dobel makes a 100% agave tequila just for the Banshee. Try it neat, on the rocks or in a margarita. Nowhere else pours it.

Two patios
Up front, the gas-station canopy. Out back, a courtyard and garden lounge under string lights. Dogs are welcome outside.

No shortcuts. Ever.
We're a 100% scratch kitchen. Every morning our crew preps fresh using our own recipes, from the dough and red sauce to our salad dressings and the margaritas and sangria behind the bar.
From filling station to wood-fired oven
The Screaming Banshee has been firing pizzas in Old Bisbee since 2008. Our building used to be a gas station at the corner of Clawson Avenue and Tombstone Canyon. The canopy still stands. It now shades the front patio, and a flame sits on the roof where the price sign used to be.
Inside, a metal banshee watches over the oven. We keep the food simple and done right, the drinks cold and the music up. Locals, Bisbee 1000 climbers and road-trippers all end up at the same tables.
In June 2023 the Banshee came under new ownership. Our new owners kept everything people love about the place and doubled down on scratch cooking, from the dough to the dressings.
Fresh out of the fire
Nights under the canopy
When the sun drops behind the canyon, the old gas-station canopy glows red and the front patio fills up. Every once in a while we bring in a DJ and turn it into a party.
DJ nights are rare, so follow us on Instagram so you don't miss the next one.
